Government & Visitation

Planetary Councilocracy

Jjinora follows a “planetary councilocracy” governmental model, which is non-existent on planet earth. A councilocracy is a governmental system in which a region is governed by, and entrusted to, a single council. A planetary councilocrocy simply implies that the region being governed consists of the entire planet. There are various councilocracies in Jjinora at more local levels, however they are not able to run counter to the planetary councilocracy’s decisions.

Our council oversees the entire planet and all decisions are made to benefit the planet as a whole. They take into account all mobile beings, sedentary beings and the landmass itself. This includes the water, air, rock and soil, which we believe is filled with life and consider to be alive.

The council members are not elected, but are selected by a search committee that appoints council members through various tests. This search committee seeks out the most qualified individuals, primarily seeking intelligence, diversity and selflessness, but also a fearlessness to contradict each other, undertake difficult decisions and take action.

The council members are anonymous so it truly includes the most qualified and not those who seek power or fame. Through this extensive search process, we find those best equipped to represent all living beings. This may seem like a radical concept on those of your on Earth – asking those best equipped to govern, to govern!

We don’t need governmental interference to do what is right because our living beings are taught to do what is right from the moment they are born. This education and trust in each other has allowed us to progress under this governmental structure.

Why Not Democracy?

Like you on earth, we experimented with various governmental models, however all failed. As you already know, dictatorships, autocracies, communism, fascism, socialism, etc. are flawed. However, as you will learn in the coming centuries, democracies are also destined to fail.

Democracies are destined to fail for a few reasons. First, voters are generally not well informed, or they lack the basic intelligence to distinguish fact from fiction. Next, those elected to office are never the best qualified to run a country, but rather are only best suited to win a vote of the general populace – those are two very different skill sets. Third, to increase the chances of reelection, politicians are focused on short-terms goals instead of long-term sustainability. Fourth, politicians represent a local region so those objectives are prioritized over the betterment of society as a whole. Lastly, democracies fail because only a small number of living beings are represented; here on earth only a single species is allowed to govern! This intentionally prevents many ‘voices’ from being heard, including all sedentary beings and the planet itself, unless of course politicians make an effort to be their voice.

The councilocracy system of government addresses these flaws by: expanding education; seeking out the best qualified to run the government; focusing on long-term sustainability; prioritizing full planetary issues; prioritizing a sustainable balance between beings of higher intelligence and those with lower intelligence, or capability; and using incredibly large amounts of data to quantify the overall health and direction of various beings who are not able to speak for themselves.

Councilocracies are not governed by the people, for the people. They are governed by the most capable for the long-term benefit of the entire planet.

Government Agencies

Since we operate as a single planet with no borders, we have few government agencies, but those that exist are primarily focused on education, infrastructure and healthcare. Despite this, we feel our governmental successes have created an obligation for us to establish a Foreign Affairs department on foreign planets.

This has led us to establish the Jjinoran Embassy on Planet Earth. Our Foreign Affairs department is small since there are few planets that hold the intelligence and capabilities to learn and change. While we are still uncertain if planet Earth is one of these planets, our Councilocracy has instructed us to try.

Our Councilocracy demands that all of our foreign missions, including this mission on planet Earth, be self-supported. Due to this, our Foreign Affairs department and the Jjinoran Embassy to planet Earth has established a Register of Deeds to help support the mission. Learn more about our Register of Deeds, or purchase a title, on the Register of Deeds page.

Citizenship

Citizenship is a human construct that we do not subscribe to. We find it difficult to grant citizenship to water, yet it is as vital to our society as any other living being. All living beings and objects on our planet, from Jjinora or elsewhere, are welcome to freely move about and visit without the need for identification or governmental approval.

Visitation & Visas

Anyone is welcome to visit Jjinora visa-free, even passport-free. However, due to our fragile balance between living things on the planet, strict restrictions must be followed for entry. More importantly, Jjinora is 1,106 earth light years from earth so it is not recommended for earth’s mobile beings to attempt a visit as their natural lives will expire prior to arrival. Perhaps one day earth will gain the same technology we have developed and visitation will be more probable.

Register of Deeds

To support our planet’s mission and expand our outreach to various planets holding intelligent life forms, we have created a registration of deeds within our embassy to planet earth. On Jjinora, we do not bestow titles and honorific salutations on our planet’s beings and we find this habit to be a fairly humorous human construct. However, we invite you to register a title that you may use on Jjinora. Even you can be King, Queen, President or Emperor of Jjinora with registration today!
